Some paras from Where There's a Cause, There's a Caucus (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/04/04/AR2007040402757.html), By Zachary A. Goldfarb, Special to The Washington Post, Thursday, April 5, 2007
Every morning in Washington, Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.) rides his rusty red-orange Trek bicycle to work on Capitol Hill, a reminder of one of the first things he did when he came to Congress in 1996: create a bike caucus.
With 165 members, the bipartisan Congressional Bike Caucus promotes the use of bicycles as a substitute for cars -- a way to exercise, reduce fossil fuel emissions and improve travel patterns. The caucus shepherded $4 billion for trails, bike paths and pedestrian facilities in a big transportation spending bill in the last Congress.
The bike caucus is just one of the zany-sounding groups that lawmakers have created on Capitol Hill to advance niche interests in Congress. There's no trick to creating a caucus -- or "congressional member organization" -- in the House, where it takes just a letter to the Administration Committee. Nearly 300 have registered. The Senate has far fewer groups, and they don't register at all.
But some caucuses have come to play prominent roles on the front lines of Capitol Hill. The Republican Study Committee has worked to amplify the views of the more conservative wing of the GOP. Since Democrats took control of Congress in January, the Congressional Black Caucus has wielded unusual power, with five members serving as chairmen of House committees.

Anybody filed Un Signed Labor Substitution?
Since the cut off date was Jul 17th my attorney filed un signed Labor substitution with I-140.
Any experince any body has, I request you to share that here.
Chance of denial or rejection is very high if the Labor substitue application is not signed by the applicant.

First, IV truely rocks! Thank you so much guys for all the great work you've done so far!
I've few questions related to I-485 filing:
1. I've single Date-Of-Birth affidavit from both of my parents, will that be an issue? Can USCIS issue me a RFE for not submitting two separate affidavits from each parents?
2. Will it hurt to submit copy of canadian green card having DOB as an additional proof? Also, I'd my fingerprints verified by FBI for canadian immigration, will that speed up my fingerprinting verification for US immigration?
3. I'm only submitting last year 2006 tax return in my 485 filing whereas my lawyers wanted last three IT returns? Will that be a problem?
Thanks a lot in advance for reading my post and answeing my questions.
Please Keep up the good work!

The big news is that the masters cap was hit as of December 24th. I had been predicting since last summer that this 20,000 quota would be hit in the last week of the year and the pace of usage stayed extremely consistent. The general quota has 7,700 visas of 65,000 remaining as of December 31st and the rolling four week average is now running at just over 1500. We have seen a modest up tick in usage since the masters cap ran out, but not as much as might be expected. It looks like we've got five to six...

Check with your school's office for International students...Nowadays many schools require that you work their own office....They have an attorney and you just submit papers and they take care of it....

Pew confirms what we've already assumed is happening. The number of illegally present immigrants has dropped 8% since 2007. The number is now about 11 million, down from peaking at 12 million. The annual migration of illegally present immigrants has dropped from about 850,000 a year a few years ago to just 300,000 a year today. Why? Probably a combination of a lousy economy and much more vigorous enforcement, particularly at the border. Here is the report for your viewing pleasure: pew hispanic study 08-2010 -

There's something about these that isn't working. I think klinux is right. Try some other levels of desaturation. I like the headshot the best of the two. The color shot is a nice one, but her skin looks blotchy. Good experiment. Keep trying.
